Leadership, in any setting, takes insight.
In the case of Cobra Electronics, under-
standing the consumer is paramount.
Understanding the consumer helps Cobra
develop cutting-edge products with easy-to-use
features. Understanding the consumer compels
Cobra to provide the best value. Understanding
the consumer enables Cobra to innovate in and
reinvigorate mature product categories. Under-
standing the consumer mandates the Company expand its
product breadth, depth, and distribution channels. Insight into
the consumer is Cobra’s key to leadership.
In 2006, Cobra launched new products in growth product
lines, expanded a legacy product category to an industry high,
and continued to gain market share overall. The newest product
in the NAV ONE mobile navigation line, the NAV ONE 2500, was
built on the legacy of critical and consumer acclaim that began
with the launch of this category in 2004. Cobra’s XRS 9930 radar
detector reinvigorated the radar detection category for the
industry as a whole as 2006 market share dramatically grew due
to increased retail placement.

thing” by industry experts and the media.
