The industry’s first lithium-ion high powered two-way
radio was introduced in 2006; the LI-6000. At the time of its
premier, the LI-6000 was the smallest long-range GMRS radio in
the industry with a range up to 17 miles, 2,662 privacy code
combinations, NOAA All Hazards Alert Radio, VOX hands-free
operation, VibrAlert®, 10-channel memory and many more
features. The LI-6000 product line offered consumers a reason to
trade up to Cobra for extended range, power and battery life.
Cobra’s commitment to innovation by bringing new, easy-
to-use products to the consumer continues with its launch of
the latest models in the microTALK® line for 2007—the LI 4900,
LI 6500 and LI 7000. These ultra compact, high powered, lithium-
ion GMRS two-way radios feature ranges that extend from 18 to
25 miles, 2,662 privacy codes, selectable power, 10-channel NOAA

All Hazards Alert Radio, VOX hands-free operation, VibrAlert and
more. Additionally, Cobra launched more models in the microTALK
product line for 2007 including its PR 4100-2 WX VP, PR 260-2
WX VP, and PR 170-2 VP, providing choice and value to each
consumer.
