Morgan Stanley’s common stock trades on the NYSE under the symbol “MS.” As of February 22, 2010, Morgan
Stanley had approximately 92,935 holders of record; however, Morgan Stanley believes the number of beneficial
owners of common stock exceeds this number.
The table below sets forth, for each of the last eight quarters, the low and high sales prices per share of Morgan
Stanley’s common stock as reported by Bloomberg Financial Markets and the amount of any cash dividends per

(A) On December 16, 2008, the Board of Directors of the Company approved a change in the Company’s fiscal year end from November 30
to December 31 of each year, beginning January 1, 2009. As a result of this change, the Board of Directors declared a $0.016667
dividend per common share covering the period from December 1, 2008 through December 31, 2008. The total dividend of $0.066667
per common share covering the four month period from December 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009 was paid on May 15, 2009 to shareholders
of record on April 30, 2009.
