Conduct and reputation risk
Analysis of conduct and reputation risk
Conduct Risk is the risk that detriment is caused to our
customers, clients, counterparties or Barclays because of
inappropriate judgement in the execution of our
business activities.
Reputation Risk is the risk of damage to Barclays’ brand
arising from any association, action or inaction which is
perceived by stakeholders to be inappropriate or
unethical.
This section details Barclays’ conduct and reputation
risk profile and provides information on the key 2014
risk events and risk mitigation actions Barclays has taken.
These risks were deemed Principal Risks in 2013 to
increase management focus and strengthen governance.
