Executive Committee Charter of Expectations
The role profiles, responsibilities, time commitments, key
competencies and behaviours we expect of our Directors, together
with the key indicators of high performance, are set out in our Charter
of Expectations, which was reviewed and updated during 2011 to
take account of the best practice recommendations set out in the
Guidance on Board Effectiveness issued by the Financial Reporting
Council (FRC). The Charter of Expectations is available on our website

Key responsibilities of the Executive Committee
The Board delegates responsibility for the day-to-day management of
the Group to the Chief Executive, who is responsible for ensuring that
the business is operating effectively within the strategy and risk appetite
agreed by the Board. The Chief Executive is supported by the Executive
Committee, which he chairs.
