2006 marks Southwest Airlines 35th Anniversary, a signal of new departures, new destinations, and new
directions. With the repeal of the Wright Amendment, the skies over Dallas Love Field are finally
open to new departures to great cities beyond Texas and its neighboring states. There are exciting
upgrades being planned for Love Field as well. We opened two new destinations this year, Denver
and Washington Dulles, and returned signicant service to hurricane-ravaged New Orleans. Our expansion
at Chicago Midway catapulted it to our #2 airport systemwide. We are confidently looking
ahead to new directions for our airline, our Customers, and our People in the coming years, directions
designed to allow Southwest Airlines to prosper as we continue to give America the Freedom to Fly.
