by CREST industry sales and traffic numbers.
CREST is the leading independent marketing
research firm in the restaurant industry.
For the twelve months ended August 1999, our
sales were up 34 percent, while the pizza category
as a whole (including the independents) was up
8 percent and the other three big chains were
up a combined 4 percent.
Traffic counts at our restaurants were also up 29 percent for the
same twelve-month period. The pizza category as a whole was up
4 percent, while the other big chainstraffic declined 1 percent.
