and pumped storage units that are geared to serve the market
under a range of conditions, from baseload to load-following
to peaking, depending on electric demand at a particular time

In a business like PSEG Power’s, reliability ultimately depends
on excellence in fleet operations—within a framework that
gives absolute priority to safety. PSEG Power is investing
substantial resources—in people, equipment and dollars—to
ensure the long-term safe, reliable operation of its generating
stations, particularly its Salem and Hope Creek nuclear units.
The improvement effort at Salem and Hope Creek will be sub-

management model at these facilities.
