Option Activity
Stock options activity under the stock option plans during the year ended December 31, 2012 was as follows:
The aggregate intrinsic values in the table above represent the total pre-tax intrinsic values (the difference between the Company’
s closing stock
price on the last trading day of 2012 and the exercise price, multiplied by the number of shares underlying the in-the-
money options) that would have
been received by the option holders had all option holders exercised their options on December 31, 2012
. This amount changes based on the fair
market value of the Company’s stock. Total intrinsic value of options exercised for the year ended December 31, 2012 , 2011 , and 2010 was
$8.1
million , $21.8 million and $16.9 million , respectively.
The total fair value of options vested during the years ended December 31, 2012 , 2011 , and 2010 was $11.1 million , $9.8 million and
$9.1
million , respectively.
