Other Segments
Other Segments consists of Corporate Treasury, our Principal Investing unit, and various exit portfolios. Other
Segments generated net income attributable to Key of $314 million for 2013, compared to $256 million for 2012.
The 2013 results reflect an increase in taxable-equivalent net interest income of $127 million compared to 2012.
The provision for loan and lease losses for 2013 was a credit of $21 million compared to a charge of $55 million
for 2012. These improvements were partially offset by a decrease in noninterest income of $154 million.
In 2012, Other Segments generated net income attributable to Key of $256 million, compared to $209 million for
2011. The 2012 results reflected a $137 million increase in noninterest income, partially offset by a decrease in
taxable-equivalent net interest income of $22 million and an increase in the provision for loan and lease losses of
$60 million.
