Guarantees
As at 31 December 2011, ING Group had no guarantees outstanding on behalf of third parties (2010: nil). ING Group has issued
statements of liability in connection with Section 403, Book 2 of the Dutch Civil Code and other guarantees for a number of
groupcompanies.
Fiscal unity
ING Groep N.V. forms a fiscal unity with several Dutch banking entities for corporation tax purposes. ING Groep N.V. and its banking
subsidiaries that form part of the fiscal unity are jointly and severally liable for taxation payable by the fiscal unity.
