(1) Franklin loans were reported as commercial accruing restructured loans at December 31, 2007. At
December 31, 2008, Franklin loans were reported as nonaccrual commercial and industrial loans. At
December 31, 2009, nonaccrual Franklin loans were reported as residential mortgage loans, home equity
loans, and other real estate owned.
(2) Represents impaired loans obtained from the Sky Financial acquisition. Held for sale loans are carried at
the lower of cost or fair value less costs to sell.
(3) Other nonperforming assets represent certain investment securities backed by mortgage loans to borrowers
with lower FICO scores.
(4) Nonperforming assets divided by the sum of loans and leases, impaired loans held for sale, net other real
estate owned, and other nonperforming assets.
