“After nearly 13,000 fl ight hours in the Bell 222, we look forward to adding
the 429 to our fl eet. The 429 gives us the speed, fl exibility, increased
performance and safety enhancements that enable us to offer our patients
fast, safe, reliable and quality critical care service.

2010 was another great year of execution for Bell
Helicopter. Bell increased V-22 and H-1 military aircraft
production by more than 52 percent during the year—
delivering all units on or ahead of schedule and generating
a $343 million revenue increase over 2009. Additionally,
the year showed increased customer demand for Bell’s
commercial aircraft.
A testament to Bell’s ability to deliver for its customers,
the U.S. Navy approved full-rate production of the AH-1Z
attack helicopter in 2010. Together, the AH-1Z and the
UH-1Y utility helicopter are delivering greater capability,
versatility and value to the military. The V-22 also continues
to perform well in Iraq and Afghanistan, as does the
OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, which boasts the highest pace
of equipment usage and highest reliability of any U.S.
military helicopter in Afghanistan.
On the commercial side, Bell expanded its sales force
and accelerated business development efforts in 2010.
Highlights include signifi cant deals with three of the largest
air medical transport service providers in the United States,
increased sales of its new Model 429, and a number of
international sales—including the historic delivery of Bell’s
1,000th Model 407 to a customer in Japan. During 2010,
Bell also introduced a string of new product upgrades
and performance enhancements, including upgrades to
both the Model 412 and Model 407 to improve their
performance at high altitudes and hot temperatures and
enhancements to the Model 407 to reduce operating costs.
These programs re ect Bell’s commitment to continually
modernizing and advancing its commercial products.
In the area of customer support, Bell continues to set the
standard. Bell earned both Professional Pilot magazine’s
top customer support award and Aviation International
News top product support award for the 17th and 5th
consecutive years, respectively. Bell also expanded its
global service reach in 2010, acquiring an aircraft service
facility in Prague, Czech Republic to better serve both
Bell’s and Cessna’s fl eets in Eastern Europe.
Bell Helicopter is committed to investing in the new
products and exceptional product support that its
customers expect. Combined, these actions will help
Bell deliver differentiated products and services to
customers now—and for years to come.
