Cash America International, Inc.
is celebrating its 30-year anniversary of providing
small loans to individuals since 1984. Today the
Company offers a variety of specialty financial
services to customers, with an emphasis on pawn
lending through its storefront operations.
As of December 31, 2014, the Company operated
943 total locations offering specialty financial
services to consumers, which included the
following:
859 lending locations in 21 states in the United
States primarily under the names “Cash America
Pawn,” “SuperPawn,” “Cash America Payday
Advance,” and “Cashland;” and
84 check cashing centers (all of which are
unconsolidated franchised check cashing
centers) operating in 12 states in the United
States under the name “Mr. Payroll.”

Pawn lending is what gave Cash America its
start more than three decades ago. Our mission
was focused on providing financial solutions
to help ordinary, hardworking people meet
their needs and pursue their dreams. From the
beginning, we’ve stuck closely to this mission

business of pawn.
Cash America expanded over the years to
become a multi-product financial services
company, but this year we return to our roots.
We are refocusing our efforts and concentrating
our resources on pawn lending exclusively in
the United States. Our aim is to continue to be
the best pawn business in the nation, providing
courteous, fast services to customers coast to
coast. It’s what gave us our start in 1984. And it’s
what we do best.
Cash America has invested aggressively over
the last three years to expand its presence
in U.S. markets. Adding 140 pawn locations
through acquisition and new start-up
locations, Cash America has greatly enhanced
its presence in key strategic markets such as
Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
Adding these locations to our pre-existing store
base builds on the Company’s preeminent
market leadership position as the leader in
pawn lending in the United States.
Last year the Company extended over
$1.0 billion in U.S. pawn loans for the first time
in its history by reaching more customers and
earning their trust for being the solution in their
time of need for short-term credit.
