Standards No. 61 (Communication with Audit Committees).
Based on these reviews and discussions, the Committee recommended to the Board of
Directors that Quest Diagnostics’ audited financial statements be included in the Annual Report
on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2003 and the Board of Directors gave its
approval.
