The global success of The Principal provides
opportunities not only for the company and
our shareholders but for our employees as
well. So we’re giving them the global exposure,
training and resources they need to make the
most of these opportunities, to better serve
customers and to retain our best talent.
One way we’re doing this is by making it
easy for employees to communicate and share
knowledge with each other. This helps to
shorten the learning curve as we grow. And it
helps us quickly adapt to the changing needs of
our customers.
Our strong culture of collaboration and
the structure of our businesses encourage
knowledge sharing. Technology is also a
big part of the strategy. Employees already
use blogs and SharePoint® technology to
collaborate. And new tools like Network @
Work will make it faster and easier for our
employees to connect with each other, share
best practices and demonstrate their skills.
Developing our employees helps us retain
and build on our decades of institutional
knowledge. And it gives employees the
opportunity to take on new challenges, acquire
valuable skills and advance their careers. In
short, investing in our employees pays off.
W O R K I N G A C R O S S global boundaries is no longer the
exception. Our core value of people development
helps us retain our talented employees and prepare
them to work in a global environment.
