O
VF 1999 HIGHLIGHTS
ur primary strength is our diversified portfolio of brands in jeanswear, intimate
apparel, workwear, knitwear, playwear, daypacks and swimwear. VF has created an
organizational structure to maximize the opportunities among its many brands.
Today VF consists of more than two dozen distinct marketing units that form the
foundation for its six coalitions – North & South American Jeanswear, Intimate
Apparel, Workwear, Knitwear, Playwear and International. During the year, they
made progress in identifying ways to share resources and manufacturing capacity,
giving our organization greater flexibility and energizing our entrepreneurial spirit.
