With more than 3,000 locations around
the world, World Fuel Services (WFS)
proudly markets fuel and related
services to commercial airlines, cargo
carriers, private aircraft and fixed base
operators (FBOs), as well as the United
States and foreign governments.
In 2012, the aviation segment
experienced solid growth and reported
year over year gains in volume. We
expanded our global network and
embedded experienced industry talent
in the United States, the United
Kingdom and Singapore. We continued
to utilize our supply competencies in
an effort to strategically enhance our
value offerings at both domestic and
international airports. WFS experienced
significant growth in core resale, fuel
management and government offerings
from our commercial aviation business.
WFS has quickly established a
leading market position at FBOs in the
United States. Along with our AVCARD
transaction-processing platform, we
deepened our ability to serve one of the
broadest and most diverse customer
bases in the marketplace.
Building on another record year in
volume, we are focused on continued
organic growth of our commercial
and general aviation offerings, and
expanding our portfolio of customer
and supplier relationships.
