SAAB’S BROAD BASED OFFERING
In the military sector, Saab has leading positions in
a number of segments on the ground, in the air
and at sea. Examples include ghter aircra and
support weapons. Saab’s civil security operations
oer air and maritime trac management systems
as well as security solutions, including solutions
for airports and prisons. In civil security, there are
also solutions for ambulance services, eld hospitals
and underwater vehicles for the oshore oil and
gas industry.
Saab is organised in six business areas based on
technologies and products, but customer oerings
usually involves multiple business areas. Dierent
parts of the Group also co-operate in research
and development. In this way, the Group can have
specialised oerings for each market segment and
at the same time take advantage of synergies.
e oering is continuously rened and adapted
to customers’ current and future needs. is is why
around a quarter of sales is invested in research
and development.
Saab contributes to a safer society through world-leading solutions,
products and services for military defence and civil security. The broad
offering covers a variety of societal functions and meets a number of
different security needs.
