Political contributions
During the financial years ended March 31, 2008 and 2007 the Group made no political
contributions which require disclosure under the Electoral Act, 1997.
Share buy back
A share buy back programme which was approved at the 2006 AGM was formally announced on
June 5, 2007. At March 31, 2008 the Company had repurchased 59.5 million shares at a total cost of
1300m out of a maximum available for repurchase of 77,171,868 shares. On February 4, 2008, the
Company announced its decision, in the best interests of the Company and shareholders, to undertake a
second share buy back programme of up to 1200m worth of shares and 1167m has yet to be completed.

Auditor
In accordance with Section 160(2) of the Companies Act 1963, the auditor KPMG, Chartered
Accountants, will continue in office.
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting will be held on September 18, 2008 at 10am in the Radisson Hotel,
Dublin Airport, Co. Dublin, Ireland.
