2015 POLARIS INDUSTRIES INC. ANNUAL REPORT 19
>> Our new GEM
platform provides
more passenger
room in the same
footprint
>> Goupil G5 Lithium,
another addition to our
lineup of lithium-ion-
powered vehicles
Work & Transportation
>> Commercial ORV
We’ve seen increasing appetite for our ORVs
the last few years from national accounts,
colleges and universities, hotels and resorts,
and rental houses. To tap the demand,
we doubled our direct sales team in2015
and, as a result, increased sales more than
15percent in this category.
>> Commercial Electric
We recently made improvements to our GEM
people movers, making them more attractive
to commercial users. Changes include a new
platform that oers more passenger room in
the same footprint, improved suspension and
more factory-integrated accessory options.
Sales of our Goupil and Mega light-duty
haulers were down in2015, but we expect
improved results as we expand our footprint
from France into Germany and the United
Kingdom in2016.
>> Aixam Personal Quadricycles
We continued to protect our No. 1 market
share position in2015, despite increasing
competition. At the same time, we began
bringing our costs down to improve
profitability.
Defense
We were awarded a five-year indefinite
delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract
for MRZRs in2015, valued at $83million.
We’ve been delivering the military combat
vehicles to Special Operations since2013.
Interest has been high in our latest
military oering, DAGOR. The ultra-light
combat vehicle is big enough to carry nine
fully equipped infantry personnel, small
enough to sling-load under a Black Hawk®*
helicopter and tough enough to parachute
out the back of a C-130 airplane. As existing
contracts expire, we expect to see increasing
awards for DAGOR in the future.
>> The MRZR is our best-selling
purpose-built military vehicle.
>> Rental account sales grew
double digits for the third
consecutive year, driven
by RANGER, including this
CREW Diesel
