The principal market on which our common stock is traded is the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “TXT.” Our stock also is traded on
the Chicago Stock Exchange. At January 2, 2010, there were approximately 14,000 record holders of Textron common stock.
The high and low sales prices per share of our common stock as reported on the New York Stock Exchange and the dividends paid per share, are
provided in the following table:

Issuer Repurchases of Equity Securities
On July 18, 2007, our Board of Directors approved a new plan authorizing the repurchase of up to 24 million shares of our common stock. The
plan has no expiration date. In September 2008, we suspended all share repurchase activity under the plan. There were no shares purchased
under the plan in 2009. The maximum number of shares that may be purchased under the plan totaled 11,103,090 at January 2, 2010.
On December 11, 2009, we repurchased 60,000 shares of restricted common stock that had vested upon the retirement of our former CEO, Lewis
Campbell. Pursuant to the terms of the related restricted stock award, the shares were purchased at $19.925, which was the average of the high
and low share price on the vesting date of November 30, 2009.

The following graph compares the total return on a cumulative basis at the end of each year of $100 invested in our common stock on December
31, 2004 with the Standard & Poor’s (S&P) 500 Stock Index, the S&P 500 Aerospace & Defense (A&D) Index and the S&P Industrial
Conglomerates (IC) Index. We are included in both the S&P 500 and the S&P IC indices. The values calculated assume dividend reinvestment.
