Expanding importance of generic medications
Generic medications can play a big role in reducing
healthcare costs for providers and patients alike. That’s
why our new, simpli ed ordering process makes it easier
for retail independent pharmacies to make smarter,
more informed generics buying decisions. Right at the
point of purchase, we show them how much they can
save by ordering generics through Cardinal Health.
We also can help hospital pharmacies reduce their
drug spend by recommending generic alternatives to
branded medications, when clinically appropriate.

Enabling the future of molecular imaging
Molecular imaging is one of the most promising areas of
development in nuclear medicine—where specialized
radiopharmaceuticals help detect health conditions such
as heart disease, neurological disorders and cancer. This
allows diseases to be diagnosed earlier, helps treatment
begin sooner and leads to better (and more cost-e ective)
outcomes. The combination of our leading national network
of nuclear pharmacies and our expertise in the manufacturing
and distribution of Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
agents enables us to support clinical trials conducted by
pharmaceutical researchers and academic organizations.
