Lines of business results
In the following commentary, we discuss the operating
results of the group for the 2002 and 2001 ®nancial years in
terms of the lines of business established during the 2001
®nancial year. Elements of the information for the 2001
®nancial year have been restated to show the businesses as
if they had traded as separate units throughout the relevant
period. However, as it is not practical for us to compile
comparative ®gures for the 2000 ®nancial year for the lines
of business, this earlier year is discussed in the context of
the overall group results.
