Sean Coyle
Chief Financial Officer
and Head of Short Haul
Operations

Niall Walsh
Chief Operating Officer
Niall Walsh, a chartered accountant, was
appointed Group Procurement, IT and
Property Executive in 1994. In March
1996, he became Services Director and in
February 2001 overall responsibility for cost
management was added to his portfolio.
He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive
in March 2006. Mr Walsh assumed the
role of Chief Operating Officer in April 2009
with responsibility for all of the Group’s
ground and flight operations, procurement
and airport bases. His primary focus is on
operating excellence and customer service
delivery.
Stephen Kavanagh
Corporate Planning Director and
Head of Long Haul Operations
Stephen Kavanagh is a graduate of University
College Dublin and joined the Company in
1988. He undertook a number of analytical
and management roles in fleet scheduling and
business planning departments before being
appointed Operations Planning Manager in
2003 with responsibility for the integration
of network, aircraft and crew planning, and
a focus on improved productivity and asset
utilisation. Mr Kavanagh was appointed to the
senior management team in March 2006. His
primary focus is on the sustainable profitability
of the long haul business. In addition, he has
responsibility for the Group’s cargo operations,
managing and development of strategic
alliances and for the Group’s resource
planning process.
Enda Corneille
Corporate Affairs Director
Enda Corneille was appointed Corporate
Affairs Director in November 2007, with
responsibility for internal and external
communications including media relations,
corporate and Government affairs together
with all aspects of Aer Lingus customer
service. He also has responsibility for
communications within the Group’s Investor
Relations. Mr Corneille formally held the
position of Commercial Director with
responsibility for all aspects of commercial
operations, developing the airline’s
sales and marketing capabilities with an
emphasis on the continued development
of the airline’s website aerlingus.com. Enda
has over 20 years experience with Aer
Lingus joining the airline in 1986. He has
held a number of positions including Head
of European Sales, where he managed the
commercial sales elements within Europe
and the UK.
Liz White
Human Resources Director
Liz White joined Aer Lingus in 2002 as
Human Resources Director and a member
of the senior management team. Ms White
holds a PhD in Science from Trinity College,
Dublin and a Diploma in Organisation
Behaviour from Birkbeck College, London.
Immediately prior to joining the Company,
Ms White worked for Eircom from 2000
to 2002 as Head of Compensation and
Benefits, and Head of HR (Retail). Prior to
this she held senior management positions
with Vauxhall UK and IBC Vehicles, a
subsidiary of General Motors Europe.
