in our communities.

AIG has a long-standing
tradition of giving back to the
communities in which it oper-
ates, whether through direct charitable
donations, fundraising, volunteerism, or
other forms of outreach.
Our colleagues contribute their time
and money to support many worthwhile
causes such as education, helping the
homeless and disaster relief. AIG encour-
ages everyone in the organization to
play an active role in the community,
and we support them by matching
individual monetary contributions and
allotting specified amounts of paid time
for volunteer efforts.
In 2005, the AIG Disaster Relief
Fund raised $8.6 million to help in recov-
ery efforts and provide assistance to those
affected by the year’s major natural
disasters, including Hurricane Katrina
and the earthquake that struck Pakistan
and India.
