Retail Marketing
The Retail Marketing business is comprised of almost 4,800 gasoline
outlets, including approximately 750 convenience stores, located in
24 states. With over fi ve billion gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel and
$700 million of merchandise sales per year at its branded gasoline
outlets, Sunoco is a major retailer and recognized brand in the sale of
transportation fuels and convenience store items. The primary focus
in this business unit is to continue to aggressively manage existing
assets, strengthen the Sunoco® and APlus® brands, selectively invest
capital and opportunistically pursue acquisitions.
About Sunoco
Sunoco operates fi ve business units that compete in three primary market segments – as a
leading independent U.S. refi ner/marketer of petroleum products; as a signifi cant manufacturer of
petrochemicals and as a unique technologically-advantaged manufacturer of coke for use in the
steel industry.
Refi ning and Supply
The Refi ning and Supply business manufactures refi ned products
(primarily gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and residual fuels) and commodity
petrochemicals. The Refi ning and Supply business consists of Northeast
Refi ning (comprised of the Philadelphia and Marcus Hook, PA refi neries
and the Eagle Point refi nery in Westville, NJ) and MidContinent Refi ning
(comprised of the Toledo, OH and Tulsa, OK refi neries). With a combined
900,000 barrels per day of crude oil processing capacity, Sunoco’s Refi ning
and Supply business has the capacity to produce approximately 335 million
barrels of refi ned products per year. The focus of this business has been
solidly placed on integrity, sustainability and excellence. Refi ning and
Supply intends to build on its successes in these areas as it continues to
operate safe, reliable and environmentally sound facilities at an industry
pacesetter level of effi ciency and optimization.
