27. SEGMENT INFORMATION
Business segments
The Group classifies its businesses into Info-Telecom Systems, Printers and EMS.
The segment information for the years ended March 31, 2011 and 2010 is summarized as follows:
Effective the year ended March 31, 2011, the Company has adopted “Revised Accounting Standard for Disclosures about Segments of
an Enterprise and Related Information” (Statement No.17 issued by ASBJ on March 27, 2009) and the “Guidance on the Accounting
Standard for Disclosures about Segments of an Enterprise and Related Information” (Guidance No.20 issued by ASBJ on March 21, 2008).
Segment information for the year ended March 31, 2010 is restated in accordance with such accounting standard and guidance for com-
parative purpose. The segment information for the year ended March 31, 2009 to conform to the new segment presentation is not
disclosed as it would be impracticable.
