customers benefit from the broad
spectrum of property types the bank
finances – retail, ofce, industrial and
residential developments, including
low-to-moderate income projects –
and the wide geography we cover.
As one of the leading providers of
financing to real estate investors and
developers in the West, Bank of the
West can provide continuity of service
as a single bank for all projects.
For the past five years, for example,
Bank of the West and its predecessor
have provided more than $40 million
in construction loans and three-to-
five year financing for Omaha-based
Noddle Companies, a commercial
developer of retail and ofce space in
the East and Midwest. Bank of the
West is now as active in Midwest real
estate markets as it is in the other
areas of its footprint.
Relationships with healthcare institu-
tions, especially senior residential care
facilities, are a specialty niche at Bank
of the West. From site acquisition
through construction and occupancy
development, the bank offers all the
expertise this industry demands.
As an example, the bank recently
provided multi-million dollar term and
construction loans for the refinancing
and expansion of Bishop Place, a
senior living facility in Pullman,
Washington. The transaction, which
expanded the 79-unit facility by 70
additional units, included a swap to
hedge rising interest rates, plus project
management support.
For the past 20 years, Bank of the West
has focused on the special needs of
religious institutions, making it the
largest specialized bank lender to
churches in the U.S.
Grace Church, with a predominantly
Korean-speaking congregation in
Fullerton, California, turned to Bank
of the West’s dedicated church
banking experts in 2006 to refinance
its large mortgage and establish a
cash management relationship. Our
WebDirect online business banking
product enables Grace Church to
easily make wire transfers to its many
international missionaries.
Bank of the West has worked closely with AMVAC since 1979, to
provide creative nancial solutions as their sales have grown to nearly
$200 million in 2006. We leveraged our experience as a provider of
commercial banking services to middle market companies and as a
leading agricultural lender. Over the years weve both grown, and weve
developed a full service relationship including credit facilities and a
range of supporting products.
