Consumer Finance:
Bank of the West provides indirect
lending for autos, recreational vehicles
and pleasure boats through a network
of 6,000 dealers nationwide, as well as
directly through our branch network.
A high-volume, technology-intensive
business, indirect financing for boats
and vehicles provides rapid response
to dealerships and loan servicing for
their vehicle purchasers. Through its
indirect consumer finance business,
Bank of the West finances more than
10% of the RV purchases in the U.S.
Despite the economic fluctuations in
the price of gas, interest rates, and
other market conditions, we have
steadily grown this business over the
past 20 years. The strength of our
brand has earned Bank of the West
substantial market share in each of
these markets.
Equipment Finance:
We provide indirect leasing programs
through a nationwide broker network.
Bank of the West also offers vendor
leasing programs for equipment
manufacturers that supply enterprises
such as automotive repair shops,
bakeries, dry cleaners, sophisticated
machine tool operators and printing
companies with specialized equipment
for their operations. One such
customer is CLAAS, a leading global
manufacturer of combines, harvesters,
tractors and attachments. Our vendor
leasing arm, Trinity Capital, provides
equipment financing to the U.S.
customer base of CLAAS.
Insurance:
Subsidiary BW Insurance Agency, Inc.
operates 60 locations predominantly
housed within Midwestern Bank of
the West branches and provides
property and casualty insurance both
to individuals and businesses. Its
products range from automobile,
homeowners and life to group health,
commercial property, bonding and
worker’s compensation insurance.
SBA Loans:
Bank of the West provides indirect
financing of government-backed
Small Business Administration loans
nationwide through our network of
field representatives. SBA-guaranteed
loans are available through several
programs for construction, real estate
or equipment purchase, and for
operating capital. The bank also
provides SBA loans directly through
our branch system.
