We were selected as a
winner of the 16th “Disclo-

Where are we now?
Fun and easy Apps for Bamboo users
won International awards
Increasing demand for our tablets in China and India
Bamboo series for consumers are globally beloved
by various users for hobbies such as digital photo
processing, producing illustrations, and digital scrap-
booking as well as note-taking and PC operating
instead of the mouse. In order to have fun and easi-
ness with pen and touch functions offered by
Bamboo, we began a free download service of
Bamboo Dock & Apps, which enables the enjoyment
of games, sketches and posting on Facebook or
Twitter, from our website (http://wacom.com/apps) in
2010.
Some of the apps offered in Bamboo Dock & Apps
won international awards, such as MIDAS Gold
award and Adobe MAX award, and other apps also
have received high reputation. As a result of these
measures, Bamboo Series contributed to the best
sales record of consumer products in the last Christ-
mas shopping season.
In China, which shows a remarkable economic
growth, our tablets sales grew about 40% compared
with the previous fiscal year in local currency base.
Wacom China celebrated its 10th anniversary, and
held its ceremony last May. We were able to invite
more than 1,000 young graphic artists and
journalists. It showed the momentum of a rapidly
growing tablet market in China.
On the other side, India, one of the emerging
countries chasing China also has seen a rise in the
graphics market for Hollywood films and the gaming
industry which obviously adopt our professional
tablets. In addition to aggressive business
development by foreign companies, the Indian
market has room for growth in the major domestic IT
industries and film business. Therefore we
established a subsidiary, Wacom India in October
2010.
