Where are we now?
Bamboo for consumers
opening up exciting new markets
Bamboo is our new consumer identity, serving as the unified
brand for all of our consumer pen tablets. Bamboo opens up
new markets by targeting a wider variety of users. An innovative
consumer product for home and work environments, Bamboo
meets a broad range of needs: PC operation and character
input, digital ink communication, digital photography and sketch
editing, drawing and painting.
Since its launch, Bamboo has been highly acclaimed both in
Europe and other markets worldwide. It has significantly
contributed to increased consumer product sales in our 25th
year. However, we are expecting more. We will be attracting new
and a more diverse range of customers wanting to embrace
technology that enables them to share unique ideas in a world of
creative expression.
Demonstrating Bamboo’s early appeal, our consumer pen
tablets have already captured the world’s imagination by winning
several prestigious awards including Europe’s red dot award in
May 2007 and Japan’s Good Design Award in October 2007.

Tablet PCs the new consumer trend?
Our high-end sensor technology is called Penabled DualTouch. It
allows both pen and touch navigation and data entry on Tablet
PCs. World leading computer manufacturer HP has chosen to
include it in its new mobile notebook – the HP Pavilion
tx2005/CT. This laptop is being aggressively marketed as a high
performance, low-price Tablet PC for any consumer. It offers a
unique design and advanced functionality - pen and touch input
options from Wacom, as well as a durable 12.1” widescreen
display.
This consumer notebook from HP is sure to further drive
consumer demand for Tablet PCs and Wacom’s user interface
technology. We see the integration and development of our
Penabled DualTouch technology into other global brands as a
way to expand the supply of our future products.
