A Strong and Active
In 2003, 128 bit format game software sales showed strong growth (+40%
in units, +18% in profitability)*.
As in previous years, Ubisoft outperformed the American market for all
formats with the strongest growth in software sales among the top twenty
software publishers.

128 bit console sales dropped slightly in the United States for 2003 (-8% on an annual unit basis)**, but should be
stimulated by the price drops on Playstation®2 and Xbox®announced in Spring 2004, allowing Ubisoft to consolidate its
