“Our priority is ensuring our customers’ mission success
by delivering the right solutions at the right time, every time.
Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC (RTSC),
with 2004 sales of $2.1 billion, provides technology
solutions for defense, federal and commercial cus-
tomers worldwide. The business emphasizes Mission
Support and engineering product and service solutions.
In 2004, the U.S. Army extended RTSC’s con-
tract for training and range support – one of RTSC’s pri-
mary strengths – including operations, maintenance,
mission planning, scenario development and battlefield
effects for military engagements. RTSC provides life-
cycle contractor support services for tactical engagement,
instrumentation and range training systems worldwide.
These systems facilitate some of the most realistic and
effective combat training U.S. and allied troops receive,
enabling them to adjust to ever-changing threats and
increasing the likelihood of victory. RTSC’s contribution
is vital to the security of the U.S. and its allies.
The Shared Reconnaissance Pod (SHARP)
system took U.S. Navy airborne tactical reconnaissance
into the 21st century, providing high-resolution digital
reconnaissance capability on the F/A-18 Super Hornet
day or night and regardless of weather. As the system
designer, integrator and sole-source producer of the pod,
RTSC collaborated with the U.S. Navy and others to pro-
duce and field the SHARP system in less than five years,
providing U.S. military forces the best possible technol-
ogy for successful reconnaissance missions.
On these and other programs, RTSC inte-
grates engineering, technology and logistics capabilities,
achieving the strategic growth objective of offering cus-
tomers full-service Mission Support solutions, including
end-to-end, life-cycle support for Raytheon systems and
products and those of other original equipment manu-
facturers. RTSC is continuing to expand in the growing
market for Mission Support by maintaining readiness
and delivering operational capability on demand, allow-
ing customers to focus on their missions. Raytheon
defines this philosophy as an integrated approach to pre-
dicting customer needs, sensing problems and proac-
tively responding with solutions.
RTSC is dedicated to partnering with its cus-
tomers to create innovative solutions that satisfy their
needs for a smaller logistics footprint, quicker response
time, lower total ownership costs and access to what they
need when they need it – every time.

Supporting the U.S. Department of Defense’s eorts with the former Soviet
Union to enhance global security, RTSC has been partnering with the
Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) for more than 15 years, delivering
Mission Support to prevent the spread of nuclear, chemical and biological
weapons of mass destruction. In 2004, RTSC’s proliferation prevention work
expanded to include additional projects in Russia and Ukraine. RTSC’s support
of DTRAs efforts to control and reduce the threat to the U.S. and its allies
includes eliminating SS-25 missiles and strategic bombers and assisting with
transporting nuclear warheads to storage or elimination sites.
