In 2004, IIS continued to be an industry leader in customer satisfaction. With
an annual average award fee score of 97.7 percent, IIS stands apart from
competitors where it matters most – performance. The people of IIS take great
pride in achieving and surpassing goals for production, quality and eciency,
because IIS knows what performance means to customers.
Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS), with 2004
sales of $2.2 billion, is a leading provider of systems, sub-
systems and software engineering services for national
and tactical intelligence networks, as well as for home-
land security and information technology needs. IIS cus-
tomers include government and military clients. For
more than 50 years, some of the most important agencies
in the world have relied on IIS to deliver unparalleled
technical and operational performance.
IIS expanded its homeland security business
to help protect borders as part of the Accenture-led
Smart Border Alliance team selected by the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security to design and imple-
ment the Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator
Technology program. This program will record the entry
and exit of non-citizens visiting the United States. As one
of three key subcontractors, IIS will provide systems
engineering and biometrics, deployment activities and
overall enterprise architecture structuring.
The core intelligence business of IIS continues
to expand with a substantial subcontract to provide oper-
ations, maintenance and support services for global
ground communications and information systems for
the National Reconnaissance Oce. With this strategic
win, IIS strengthened its technical support of vital
classified intelligence and homeland security activities.
Serving its national security customers is a
source of great pride for IIS. In recognition of its dedica-
tion, the U.S. Defense Security Service honored the busi-
ness with two prestigious Cogswell Awards for industrial
security excellence at sites in Aurora, Colorado, and
Huntsville, Alabama. In addition, IIS won the Nunn-
Perry Award from the U.S. Department of Defense for
outstanding achievement on the Mentor-Protégé pro-
gram for work with a co-recipient of the citation.
IIS delivers solutions for a better and safer
world. With products and systems that serve a broad
range of customers, IIS is leading the way for a new gen-
eration of intelligence.
