ThecontinuinggrowthinworldwideadoptionofCDMA
technologyhassignificantlyincreasedthecashflow
andearningsofQUALCOMM,andwearepleasedto
sharethissuccesswithourstockholders.OnJuly13,
theBoardofDirectorsdeclareda2-for-1stocksplitin
theformofastockdividend.TheBoardalsoauthorized
a40percentincreaseofquarterlydividendsfrom10
to14centsperquarter(pre-split).TheJulyincrease
markedthethirddividendincreaseintwoyears.
QUALCOMM’stotalcashandmarketablesecurities
balanceatfiscalyearendhasgrowntoapproximately
$7.6billion.
Asplanned,ourQUALCOMMStrategicInitiatives(QSI)
businesscontinuestoevolvewithanincreasingfocus
oninvestingincomplementarytechnologies.Fiscal
year2004revenuesincreasedby27percentyear-over-
