OUR COMMITMENT
CA
is a global company with a local touch. Our people
span the world, yet share the same commitment:
We all aspire to serve our customers well.
Driven by customer needs, we are increasing our
investments in Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe and
Latin America, while strengthening our core markets in
the United States and Europe. In addition, we
have a global development staff of approximately
5,300
located in the United States,
UK
, Australia, China,
Germany, India, Israel and the Czech Republic.
In the past year, we have also recruited top
management talent in key geographies. We strengthened
our presence in China as part of our investment in
one of the world’s largest and fastest growing
economies. In November
2004
,
CA
became the first
multi-national software vendor to be certified
as an officially sanctioned “Software Enterprise” by the
Chinese government. We now have a direct
presence in the Arab world as part of our strategic
EMEA
(Europe, Middle East and Africa) effort.
And we opened a Customer Interaction Center
(CIC)
in
Cornella de Llobregat, Spain, which complements
our
U.S. CIC
in Florida, to drive business to our channel
partners worldwide.
OUR EXPERTISE
Individually and collectively, we apply our expertise to
serve customer needs in countries around the world.
We produce industry-leading solutions and to date have
earned approximately
300
patents worldwide with
approximately
1,700
patents pending. We were the
first management software company to achieve global
ISO
certification for quality and have continued to raise
that bar. Today, more than
1,000
of our
CA
Technology
Servicesconsultants are certified in the globally
recognized
ITIL
service management standard to help
customers adopt best practices in their
IT
environments.
CA
contributes to and takes a leadership role in many
technology standards organizations as well, including
Eclipse for development tools and
OASIS
(Organization for the Advancement of Structured
Information Standards), among many others.
CA
experts are members of the Permanent
Stakeholder Group of the European Network
and Information Security Agency, as well as the
U.S
.
Department of Homeland Security’s Data Privacy
and Integrity Advisory Committee.
OUR OUTREACH
We empower our employees to do great work not
only for our customers, but also for their communities.
In fiscal
2005
,
CA
employees volunteered more
than
20,746
hours to help others. Our efforts range
from donating technology through the World
Economic Forum’s Jordan Education Initiative to building
playgrounds across America to using our technology
to help find missing children worldwide. Our time and
technology touch millions of lives each day in lifelong
ways. We also help in immediate times of need.
Early in
2005
,
CA
employees contributed more than
$1.6
million to the tsunami relief efforts.
We concentrate our philanthropic initiatives
on empowering children to succeed by giving them the
tools and skills to thrive. As one of the world’s
largest
IT
management software companies, we strive
every day to empower our customers in the same way.
