2013 PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENTS
In 2013, Cobra celebrated the four-
year anniversary of its Cobra iRadar®
technology with the launch of its Cobra
iRadar® App Version 4.0. This newest
update for iOS devices moves iRadar
community members into the next era
of convenience and ease-of-use with
significant enhancements to its mapping
features and community sharing features.
Cobra also launched the Cobra iRadar®
S-Series for iOS Devices, the world’s first
under-the-hood radar detector to utilize a
Bluetooth® connection to a smart phone.
At the Great American Trucking Show,
Cobra unveiled the new 29 LX CAMO
CB Radio with RealTree® Xtra, designed
for the outdoor nature enthusiast in mind.
Cobra also previewed the Drive HD Dash
Cam line that records everything the
driver sees, allowing for driver peace of
mind, security and even entertainment.
Cobra also announced the general
availability of new or redesigned
products: the HH 350 Marine VHF
Radio; the Cobra two-way radios 100,
300 and 500 series; the Cobra SPX
Radar/Laser Detection Series; the Cobra
iRadar ATOM™; and Cobra AirWave.
AWARD-WINNING PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
In 2013, the Cobra iRadar® ATOM™,
one of the smallest and most powerful
detection systems ever developed,
was named a silver winner in the Best
in Biz Awards. The ATOM was also
named as a finalist at the CTIA’s annual
Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards
competition for Automotive, LBS,
Navigation and Safe Driving in the
Mobile Apps category.
Finally, the SPX 7800BT Radar/Laser/
Camera Detector was an International
CES Innovations 2014 Design and
Engineering Honoree in the In-Vehicle
Accessories/Control/Navigation product
category. This powerful yet ultra-compact
detector is the smallest in its class and
delivers more than double the detection
range and performance from previous
models.
