• Natural gas is domestically abundant with enough
resources and proven reserves to satisfy current
demand for 100 years.
• When used to generate electricity, natural gas has half
the carbon footprint of coal and 30 percent less than oil.
• When directly used for home heating, hot water, clothes
drying and cooking, it can reduce a family’s annual
carbon emissions by nearly three tons compared
to electricity.
