Our sincere thanks and appreciation are extended for the many contributions, trusted counsel and highly valued input of two of
our esteemed Board members, Andrew M. Clarkson and Michael W. Michelson. Andrew retired from our Board of Directors in
December 2001, and Mike will retire in December 2002. Serving since the Company’s incorporation in 1986, Andrew and Mike
have helped shape AutoZone into the premier company it is today.
