4. Notes receivable and payable :
(1)Notes receivable with maturity on March 31, or
scal year end, are settled on book on the date of
bank clearing and then included in this scal year
are such notes with maturity on March 31, 2007,
as notes receivable for ¥14,016 thousand ($119
thousand).
(2)Notes payable with maturity on March 31, or
scal year end, are settled on book on the date of
bank clearing and then included in this scal year
are such notes with maturity on March 31, 2007,
as notes payable for ¥248,804 thousand ($2,108
thousand).
5. Short-term and long-term debt:
Short-term debt consisting of bank borrowings at
March 31, 2006 and 2007 is ¥600,000 thousand and
¥600,000 thousand ($5,083 thousand), respectively,
with annual average interest rates of 0.699% and
1.250%, respectively.
Long-term debt at March 31, 2006 and 2007 comprises

6. Accrued retirement benets:
The Company has an unfunded retirement allowance plan
(the “Plan”) covering substantially all of its employees who
meet eligibility requirements under the Plan. In addition,
the Company is a member of the Saitama prefectural
industrial park multi-employer pension plan, which covers
substantially all of its employees and provides for benets
under the governmental welfare pension benet plan,
which would otherwise be provided by the Japanese
government.
