of 3 years as of March 31, 2001.
b) Business assets
During the 2000/2001 financial year, Ubi Soft strengthened its dis-
tribution network by taking over the Guillemot Corporation’s softwa-
re distribution in Germany, France, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Ubi Soft also acquired a new direct distribution operation in Austria
(GameBusters). This acquisition gives Ubi Soft a direct presence in
Austria, which had previously been covered by the German subsi-
diary.
With its acquisition in the United States of the Entertainment divi-
sion of TLC, Ubi Soft now markets directly PC in the largest US retail
chains, including Wal-Mart.
