to nil (2010: nil) and nil (2010: nil), respectively, and debt securities which were lent or sold in repurchase transactions amounting to EUR
909 million (2010: EUR 3,302 million) and EUR 21,183 million (2010: EUR 14,617 million), respectively.
Investments in connection with the insurance operations with a combined carrying value of nil (2010: EUR 6 million) did not produce any
income for the year ended 31 December 2011.
