In the wake of the global fi nancial crisis, we have put a lot of time, thought, and hard work into
rebuilding AIG to be a better organization than it was before. We are more resilient, more stream-
lined, and more focused on both our risks and opportunities, and we’re dedicated to keeping our
promises to clients, shareholders, and the public. While we know there’s still work to be done, our
crisis is over, and we are working hard to bring to bear our commitment, strength, and value to
benefi t all of our stakeholders around the world.
AIG Board authorizes
repurchase of up to
$1 billion of AIG
common stock.
AIG posts net income of
$17.8 billion for full year,
the second consecutive
annual profi t, including net
income of $19.8 billion for
fourth quarter of 2011.
AIG applies approx.
$918 million release from
ALICO escrow and an
additional $53 million to
reduce AIA SPV balance.
