I’ve painted every room in my house, and the True Value paint
center is where I go for color recommendations and great ideas. It
inspired me to choose a bright yellow color for my kitchen, which
helps me stay creative while cooking.

Inside each True Value store, customers can find everything they need for their
project, all in one shopping trip. That’s because True Value pays close attention
to customer preferences and market trends, and stocks its shelves with
compelling, value-priced merchandise that is relevant to shoppers’ needs.
And that’s exactly what Nuts and Bolts in Overland Park, Kan., delivers. Brian
Richards adopted the core DTV retail assortment because it reflects the products
his customers need and want – allowing him to seize the sale and dramatically
increase his margins, particularly in the Lawn & Garden and Electrical departments.
The assortment includes a wide selection of national and regional brands as well
as strong private label brands. These high-quality proprietary products give
shoppers the best value and also deliver strong margins.
Designed for the growing base of environmentally conscious customers, the
Greener Options® line features a wide range of eco-friendly products. From
energy-efficient light bulbs to programmable thermostats, these consumer-driven
assortments help shoppers protect the earth and reduce their energy consumption.
THE RIGHT TOOLS, AT THE RIGHT TIME
Customers count on True Value to have items in stock when they need them.
Anticipating product needs comes second nature to True Value retailers. As the
seasons change, retailers are a step ahead, displaying items like grass seed and
grills well before the spring and summer shopping rush.
Lewis True Value Mercantile is known throughout the Bayfield, Colo., community
for a complete selection of home improvement products as well as items required
for daily life in the country. The store’s well-designed, cross-merchandised end
caps help time-strapped shoppers easily locate exactly what they need. What’s
more, Ryan Sower and his staff go the extra mile to track down and even special
order hard-to-find products for customers – a prime example of a store living up
to its reputation as the best hardware store in town.
RELEVANT PRODUCT SELECTION IS CENTRAL TO SUCCESS
