Community
At Raytheon we’re committed to creating lasting change
through strategic charitable giving. We focus our giving on the
communities where we live and work, addressing current needs
and creating new opportunities. While our fi rst priority is math and
science education, we also support other charitable causes through
corporate and employee giving, scholarships and volunteerism.
The Raytheon Disaster Relief Fund provides grants for general
disaster relief and for employees who have faced catastrophic events.
Through our Fund in Support of Our Troops, we provide grants
to benefi t American troops and their families.
Our signature program in support of math and science education
is MathMovesU™, which provides scholarships and grants to help
students make the connection between math and exciting careers.
We also provide scholarships to FIRST Robotics competitors
who plan to major in math, science or technology in college. And
through our Matching Gifts for Education Program, we double
the value of contributions our employees make to public and
private schools, colleges and universities.
We also participate in VolunteerMatch™, a national Web-based program
that unites Raytheon employee volunteers with nonprofit organizations
such as MATHCOUNTS®, which promotes middle school math.
