(f) LEASES
In the year ended March 31, 2009, the Company has adopted “Accounting Standards for Lease Contracts (Corporate Accounting Standard
No. 13, issued by the Business Accounting Council, First Session, on June 17, 1993 and revised on March 30, 2007), and Application
Guidelines for Accounting Standards for Lease Contracts (Corporate Accounting Standards Application Guidelines No. 16, issued by the
Accounting Committee of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants on January 18, 1994 and revised on March 30, 2007).
Before the application, the accounting treatment for finance lease transactions that do not transfer ownership had followed the method
for operating lease transactions, but now after the application of it, the accounting treatment for those transactions followed the method
for ordinary purchase and sales transactions. The accounting treatment for finance lease contract that do not transfer ownership whose
contract commenced before the first fiscal year in which the Accounting Standard for Lease Contracts were applied followed the same
method as for ordinary operating lease methods.
The effect which this change has on the consolidated statements of operations was not material.
3. RECLASSIFICATIONS
(Consolidated Balance Sheets)
(a) Other Payables
From the year ended March 31, 2008, “Other payables,” formerly included in Other current liabilities of Current Liabilities, is shown as an
independent item. The amount of “Other payables included in Other current liabilities of Current Liabilities in fiscal 2007 was ¥39,736 mil-
lion.
(b) Deferred income taxes
From the year ended March 31, 2008, “Deferred income taxes, formerly included in Other non-current liabilities of Non-Current Liabilities,
is shown as an independent item. The amount of “Deferred income taxes” included in Other non-current liabilities of Non-Current
Liabilities in fiscal 2007 was ¥9,167 million.
(c) Lease receivables and lease investment assets
From the year ended March 31, 2009, “Lease receivables and lease investment assets,” formerly included in Other current assets of Current
Assets, is shown as an independent item. The amount of “Lease receivables and lease investment assets” included in Other current assets
of Current Assets in fiscal 2008 was ¥6,015 million.

(d) Loss on investment in partnership
In the year ended March 31, 2008, “Loss on investment in partnership,” formerly included in Other, net of Other Income (Expenses) was
shown as an independent item. The amount of “Loss on investment in partnership included in Other, net of Other Income (Expenses) in
fiscal 2007 was ¥463 million.
(e) Loss on investment in partnership
In the year ended March 31, 2009, “Loss on investment in partnership,” formerly shown as an independent item, was included in Other, net
of Other Income (Expenses). The amount of “Loss on investment in partnership” included in Other, net of Other Income (Expenses) in fiscal
2009 was ¥200 million.
(Consolidated Statements of Cash Flows)
(f) Increase (decrease) in other payables
From the year ended March 31, 2008, “Increase (decrease) in other payable,” formerly included in Other of Cash Flows from Operating
Activities, is shown as an independent item. The amount of “Increase in other payables included in Other of Cash Flows from Operating
Activities in fiscal 2007 was ¥8,271 million.
(g) Net loss of investment in affiliated companies carried on the equity method
From the year ended March 31, 2008, “Net loss of investment in affiliated companies carried on the equity method, formerly included in
Other of cash flows from operating activities, is shown as an independent item. The amount of “Net loss of investment in affiliated compa-
nies carried on the equity method” included in Other of Cash Flows from Operating Activities in fiscal 2007 was ¥2,394 million.
(h) Payments for loans receivable and Proceeds from loans receivable
From the year ended March 31, 2008, “Payments for loans receivable and “Proceeds from loans receivable,” formerly included in Other of
cash flows from investment activities, are shown as independent items. The amounts of “Payments for loans receivable” and “Proceeds
from loans receivable included in Other of Cash Flows from Investment Activities in fiscal 2007 were ¥768 million and ¥544 million,
respectively.
