3. The effect of the change in the accounting method of service revenue and related cost was to increase (decrease) net sales in the segment of Japan, North
America, Europe, Asia and Eliminations or Corporate for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2002 by ¥16,791 million ($126,009 thousand),¥8,438 million
($63,324 thousand), ¥3,084 million ($23,146 thousand), ¥5,189 million ($38,942 thousand), ¥(7,767) million ($(58,284) thousand), respectively, and
decrease (increase) of operating expenses by the same amount, as compared with the amounts calculated by the prior method in the prior fiscal year.
