35 consecutive years. 5) The all-new

TRUCKS
Building on our market leadership, Ford trucks are on an
upswing, delivering world-class solutions that are precisely
in line with customers’ needs.
Helping spark F-150’s continued success is the powerful
and fuel-efficient 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine, which now
accounts for more than 40 percent of F-150 retail sales
and exceeded 100,000 sales in less than one year on the
market. Ford F-Series also extended its legacy of truck
leadership in the United States as the best-selling truck
for 35 consecutive years and the best-selling vehicle for
30 years.
The all-new global Ford Ranger has now come to market,
combining the toughness and capability of a pickup with
smart technology, outstanding safety, excellent fuel
economy and high standards of quality and comfort.
Designed and developed by a global team headquartered in
Australia, the new Ranger platform takes advantage of
global Ford assets. Ranger will be manufactured on three
continents and sold in 180 markets, making it one of the
farthest-reaching Ford products in the world.
Also new in the world of trucks for Ford will be the North
American Transit van, which will replace the venerable
Econoline wagon and van in North America in 2013. A
predecessor of Transit is currently available in Europe. The
Transit will be a truly global cargo- and people-hauler with
improvements in handling, fuel economy and technology.
It will be available in North America with the same 3.5-liter
EcoBoost engine that’s available in F-150, and will achieve
at least 25 percent better fuel economy compared to similar
Econoline vans.
