As we emerge from the global reces-
sion and growth resumes around the
world, albeit slower in some areas, it
is a good time to take stock of our
Company and the opportunities ahead
of us. Cobra’s future is bright due to
the strength of the Company as we
have managed our way through the
economic difficulties of the past two
years. Our core is defined by our prod-
uct innovation, our financial strength
and our employees.
Product innovation remains the
lifeblood of the consumer electronics
business and Cobra has continued to
invest in this area, even as we man-
aged other expenses closely during the
recession. As a result, we introduced
in the past year several award-winning
products that have been embraced by
our customers, our consumers and the
media. Many examples appear on the
following pages of this annual report
but let me highlight just a few:
c Cobra iRadar™, the first and
only radar detector to interface
with a smartphone, was recently
recognized by the editors of
Mac|Life Magazine as the Most
Innovative Product at the 2011
International CES show, as well as a
CES Innovation Award winner, and
also received three awards at the
2010 SEMA show.
c The 7750 Platinum GPS Navigation se-
ries was honored with two prestigious
industry awards: a CES Innovations
2011 Design and Engineering award
and a 5-Star rating and Trucking Test
Award from Trucking Magazine.
